The Zazpiak Bat Reno Basque Club and the Center for Basque Studies are organizing a Walk for the Basque Language to take place May 29 at noon on the UNR Campus Quad. In the Basque Country, annual festivals in each province are held to promote their language, Euskera.
This year, Zazpiak Bat and the Center are partnering with two Basque-language schools in Durango (Bizkaia) to celebrate on the same day. The walk will be followed at 6:30 pm by a traditional Basque dinner at Louis’ Basque Corner, 301 E. 4th Street in Reno.
